Solid wood is known to experience slight dimensional movements: expansion (swells) and contraction in response to changes of temperature and humidity in your home environment. It applies to extension leaves as well and can result in a small gap between the leaves. It doesn't affect structural strength or look of the table. This is natural for solid wood and not considered as a manufacturing defect.
Extra care should be taken to control the temperature and humidity in order to minimize normal expansion and contraction of the wood that changing seasons cause. It's recommended to use an Air Humidifier and/or Air Conditioner to keep your home's relative humidity around ~35% (thirty five percent).

- Do not expose the product to direct sunlight, as the sun causes damage to the furniture
- Avoid placing the product directly in front of a heat source
